Ripe Sicilian Melissa strawberries are made into this strawberry jam. Only strawberries that grow on Sicily’s fertile volcanic soil under the Mediterranean sun are used for the preparation. The fruits are picked at perfect ripeness, when the natural sugar content is highest. Then add a little dextrose to the jam and simmer for several hours.
